Several have asked, so here is the scoop:

Normally, the KFG has two t-shirts for sale each year, a spring shirt offered in March/April and a shirt for Wednesday Gaming at GenCon. Several years ago, we had enough purchases to move from Zazzle to a private printing company. By using a private printing company, we felt the quality of the shirts was a better and the KFG made a little extra margin per purchase (to buy things like buttons and dice). However, to use the private printing company, we needed a guaranteed minimum number for our order. We didn't hit that needed number with either the spring or GenCon shirts last year. With the downturn in the economy making the situation worse, folks are having a hard enough time putting food on the table, much less purchase a t-shirt. So, that left us with 3 choices:

1) Don't have a shirt this year

2) Make the shirt out of food (like a fruit roll-up tanktop)

3) Move back to Zazzle for printing as there is no minimum order

Option 1 was quickly discarded. Option 2 showed initial promise, but the meal/shirt didn't wash well. So, that leaves us with option 3.

So, the KFG Wednesday 2010 shirt will be available via Zazzle this year. We'll try to get the file uploaded to Zazzle in the next few months to give folks plenty of time to get a shirt. The advantage to this plan is the membership can get the shirt at their leisure. You may also be able to get a discount if you buy multiple shirts (i.e. for family members). The bad news is you'll have to pay shipping unless you can find a coupon or similar.

I probably missed the post. Do we know what the Wednesday gaming shirt will look like this year? Link?

Glad to hear there will be a shirt. They're my favorite heirlooms.

Thank you in advance.

No, we're still working on the design. The goal will be to have the design up on Zazzle by May 1, but don't put a horses head in my bed if it's after this date.

So I was looking through my collection of KFG shirts, and the one I like the best was just the KFG name across the front, where we could pick about any color background--any chance of having that choice up on Zazzle as well as the new one?

The other designs, while very cool, tend to become difficult to see after awhile.

Yup, we can do that. I'll add it when I get the other artwork.

Crossposted at GenCon forums.

Just an update on the t-shirt, the sketch is begin developed on conjunction with Fat Dragon Games. This is our first attempt at a custom piece of artwork from conception to production. Once the sketch is nailed down, the final graphic will be posted on Zazzle.

By the way, I've been asked to give a hint with the

understanding that we hope to have this up

by the time GenCon event registration begins,

but, this really depends on Fat Dragons schedule

and the turn-around time for the final design.

The shirt is intended to be funnier than in the past.

Hopefully, you'll agree once you see the graphic

unless you have completely lost your mind or tend to

like retro-style gray wolves, on faded t-shirt fabric,

howling at the top of their lungs like mad, possessed beasts

under the pale moon light.

[Please don't spoil the hint for a few days. Pretty please.]
